Out of the Mouths of Babes...

                      Children

I love those moments..for instance the morning I received the phone call that my mom had just passed Lilly my three year old grand daughter woke up came to the outside door . I sitting watching the dawn break in the sky. Lilly said good morning I want to ride my bike. I thought "girl it's 6am!" I looked at her and said " YES! Let's do this!" off we went down the road and around the block in the still quite of the awaking dawn light. This was a wonderful moment and a great way to take away my pain..a bad memory turned as golden as the light of a new day..

  1. Children are a gift from our Heavenly Father!
They can be so healing. I taught fourth grade for twenty five years and I was blessed to be a part of their day, After my sweet husband went to be with Jesus they helped me become whole again. My son married late in his life and now has four little ones. Oh! Be Still My Heart.
I can not tell you the Joy they bring to my life
    Smiles, Dottie

    1. Dottie I have been teaching preschool and head start for many years. I only know too well of what you speak. 17 years ago when I found myself a young widow with three small children, it was children who pulled me through and spoke to my heart. The neighborhood kids would come over and just sit with me day after day...I had to shoo them away to go play.

  2. There have been many times in my life that the children have kept me from just staying in bed all day, with the covers over my head, to escape.

Come to think about it, there have been many times I haven't been able to get any sleep because of those children.

  3. When my mom died, I was a nanny. My employers thought I should take some time off, but the best thing in the world for me was to be around those sweet babies. Kids are so full of life that it is healing.
